Royal House Guards conduct themselves with integrity regardless of circumstance and behaves in a morally sound manner even when alone or when no one else will know of their actions. It is an admirable act to comfort a dying friend, but an act of honor to comfort a dying enemy. The Royal House Guard shows mercy to the repentant, and refuses to inflict undue suffering, even on the vilest enemy. Accepts all challenges to duel given by those of comparable status and power. A challenge from an arrogant youngster or a drunken warrior may go unheeded. Dies before compromising their principles, betraying their liege or family, or abandoning a protected charge. A Royal House Guard defends the weak and obeys all just orders from superiors without hesitation or question.
The Royal House Guards have a dress code. Your mech will be painted in Royal Davion colors at all times, These can be found on our paint scheme page. Blue - White - Red. If after three months you are unable to acquire The correct colors, or are unwilling to wear the colors, you will be removed from the unit.
We are a team and will play as a team. This means do not run off and fight alone without orders.
There is a minimum age limit of 16 for the unit due to some players maturity levels. If a situation arises special considerations can be made, such as a sibling, child etc.
When you are playing MWO you will be logged into TeamSpeak whenever possible, you do not always have to play in teams with other House Guards. When on TeamSpeak you should be aware that there is a potential that what you say can be heard by people and children other than the players who are logged in. Refrain from using bad language. Also your teammates are focusing on the battle and the orders of the leadership. Avoid talking about non-battle related topics (i.e. How many mechs you got?, or did you see the game last night?) these are topics to be discussed in the dropship not on the field.
Report in to the website. This allows for you to be apprised of any changes in the unit, the schedule, upcoming events etc. Anyone who does not log into the website for more than three months will be assumed to have stopped playing. These individuals will be removed from the active roster, and added to the Inactive reserves. Inactive Status will last for another three months at which point the member will be removed from the roster. If at a later time you wish to rejoin the unit you will need to reapply.
The Davion Royal House Guards recruit in game, on forums, and by word of mouth. We do not approach members of any other unit with the intent of recruiting them in an attempt to have them switch. If a unit or an individual approaches us and asks if we are taking on more members currently the answer would be yes. We do not head hunt under any circumstance.
Members of the Royal House Guards shall not be affiliated with any other units. Being in the Royal House Guard is an honor and a privilege. You are not permitted to be a Royal and a member of another Unit.
The unit requires that you attend and finish your boot camp training within 90 days of joining. You are expected to make every effort to attend the BCT and complete before the deadline. Those that fail to do this will be removed from the unit.
Leadership will observe how the unit performs and how they conduct themselves, but we can not be everywhere. If you observe a violation of the code or these expectations please send a message to your chain of command. Remember this is a game and you should have fun. If any of this causes you to not enjoy yourself perhaps it is time to move on. We will consider you a friend and ally.
